How does refundio work?
Refundio helps passengers get compensation in case of flight delays or cancellations, missed connections, overbooking and other situations. Simply fill out a simple form, and we'll check if you're eligible for compensation. The assessment of your case is always free of charge.

If we think you are entitled to compensation, we will contact the airline representative and get compensation for you. In addition, where possible, we try to pay compensation to clients in advance. In such cases, we will send you an offer to buy your claim. However, this is not possible in all cases. If we cannot offer to pay you compensation upfront, we will pay you compensation once we have recovered it from the airline.
Why do we pay compensation in advance?
Waiting at the airport is tiring in itself, so why should you wait for compensation to be processed? If we think you are entitled to compensation, we will simply pay you the compensation in advance. This way you don't have to wait for anything and we handle everything on your behalf. If we are successful in obtaining compensation from the airline, our fee is the difference between the amount we have paid you and the amount we have received from the airline. You pay nothing.
Will you check my compensation for free?
Yes. Filling out the form and submitting your compensation claim is completely free. Our team will assess everything and if we think you are entitled to compensation, we will send you information on how to proceed.
What financial and personal risks do I take?
None. All costs are our responsibility whether we lose the case or whether we are successful in obtaining compensation for you.
What is your fee?
Our fee is 35% of the compensation claim. All fees are already included, so if we are successful in obtaining compensation, we will always send you 65% of the compensation claim. In addition, if possible, we will offer to pay you the compensation in advance. In this case, the offer is always determined individually according to the riskiness of the case. We then assume all risks of the success of the dispute. The amount remains with you even if we do not succeed in winning the dispute.
What does it mean that you match a competitor's offer?
If another airline offers you higher compensation for your disrupted flight, just write to us and we will match the offer. Matching an offer is always a case-by-case assessment, including whether the competitor's offer is relevant and generally available. In addition, most companies quote their commission net of various fees. We have chosen to be transparent about this and you will not find any extra fees with us.
If you send me an offer, do I have to accept it?
You don't have to. The offer is completely non-binding. If you don't like it, you can of course refuse it and deal with compensation on your own, for example.
What if you don't win the dispute with the airline.
Will you want your money back?
We won't. You'll always keep the money, no matter how our dispute with the airline turns out. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense :)
Why should I use your services?

Can I contact you after I have contacted the airline myself?
You can. You can even contact us if the airline has rejected your compensation claim. In this case, we will investigate and try to help you. Of course, it is easier to contact us directly. If the airline rejects your claim, we may not be able to offer to buy your claim back.
How long does it take to process compensation?
The form takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. We will then assess your case promptly and send you information on how to proceed. We will handle the whole process for you and you just wait for the money to be credited to your account.
In what currency are you sending the compensation?
We send compensation in EUR.
